Hermès Doblis 2004 Limited Edition – No. 246/1000 – 50 ml Rare Collector’s Perfume
Hermès Doblis 2004 Limited Edition – No. 246/1000 – 50 ml Rare Collector’s Perfume
An exceptionally rare and highly collectible Hermès Doblis, from the legendary 2004 limited re-edition of only 1,000 individually numbered bottles worldwide.
This particular example is individually numbered:
246 / 1000
Originally created for Hermès in 1955 by master perfumer Guy Robert, Doblis became one of the most elusive fragrances in the history of the Maison. Nearly fifty years later, in 2004, Hermès revived this historic fragrance in an extraordinarily exclusive edition limited to just 1,000 bottles, distributed through selected Hermès boutiques and specialist luxury retailers.
Today, examples of this numbered edition are exceptionally difficult to find, particularly with fragrance remaining in the bottle.
THE BOTTLE
The fragrance is presented in an exceptionally substantial, beautifully proportioned clear glass flacon with a heavy transparent stopper.
The front carries the elegant Doblis signature together with HERMÈS PARIS, while the bottle itself is individually numbered 246/1000.
A brown suede/leather-style ribbon remains tied around the neck, a particularly appropriate detail for Doblis: the name refers to the exceptionally soft Doblis suede associated with the leather craftsmanship of Hermès.
The bottle contains approximately 50 ml / 1.6 fl. oz. capacity, with a substantial quantity of the original vintage fragrance still visibly present.
ABOUT DOBLIS
Doblis occupies a fascinating position in Hermès perfume history.
The original fragrance was created in 1955 by Guy Robert, the celebrated French perfumer who would later create other important fragrances including Hermès Calèche.
Doblis is renowned among perfume collectors for its sophisticated leather and floral character, traditionally associated with notes including chamomile, coriander, jasmine, rose, moss, musk and leather.
In 2004, Hermès revisited this historic creation in an extraordinarily small production of only 1,000 numbered bottles worldwide.
The edition was available through selected Hermès boutiques and specialist retailers and disappeared rapidly from the market.
