A beautiful and highly decorative vintage Hermès mousseline shawl featuring the celebrated Fantaisies Indiennes design by Loïc Dubigeon.

The composition is centred around an elaborate Tree of Life, surrounded by flowers, peacocks, elephants, riders, carriages and richly detailed scenes inspired by India.

The exceptionally fine silk mousseline gives the shawl its characteristic light, airy and almost translucent appearance. In the large 140 cm format, the design has an especially elegant and dramatic presence.

This example is presented in a beautiful coral pink / rose colourway, complemented by warm red, brown, ochre and muted green tones.

The design is signed Hermès Paris and Loïc Dubigeon within the composition.

The silk remains beautifully light and the colours and intricate design present very attractively.

There are visible creases and minor signs of wear and age. Some areas show slight colour variation and small marks consistent with previous use.
